95. Off Sutton Lane, Etwall. Thanks to Nick North for telling me about this Survivor. Located on what would have been a driveway to a property is an unusual-looking post top lantern; mounted on a column no more than 2 m in height. The column has a very narrow spigot - it is possible that it and the lantern are meant to go together. The door has been removed, revealing only an armoured cable termination inside. I would therefore think that the lantern is fitted with a tungsten lamp but the translucent bowl prevents me from knowing for definite. The driveway now leads onto a building site which may mean that the lantern will be removed before too long.
