The equipment being removed consisted of the following items in 1997:
Seq. No. | Lamp Number | Location | Lamp Type | Watt | Isolation Point |
1 | 22931 | OPP BUTCHERS | SXPL2 | 55 | Y |
2 | 22932 | OS NO 6 | SXPL2 | 55 | |
3 | 22933 | OS NO 9 | SXPL2 | 55 | |
4 | 22934 | CNR OLD LN | SXPL2 | 35 |
The following photographs were taken on Sunday, 11th March 2012.
By the time these photographs were taken, concrete lighting columns were all but extinct on public roads in Derby; the removal of this unsleeved Stanton 10 saw the already dwindling numbers fall again.
The column ended its days supporting a top-entry Thorn Beta 5 35 Watt SOX lantern, complete with veteran 1990s' Sirebeck S300 photocell.
The replacement installation came in the form of a SUGG Camberwell mounted post-top to a 5 m specially-made cast iron lighting column. The new lantern runs a 70 Watt CDO-ET lamp.
