Derby's Street Lighting PFI Contract - Arlington Road, Littleover

The lighting along this road consisted of 6 m tubular steel columns supporting 1980s' Thorn Beta 2 55 Watt SOX lanterns; no lantern or column changes had occurred since the below inventory records were last used officially, in 1997.

The following photographs were taken on Saturday, 19th September, and Monday, 28th September 2015.

Several Beta 2s can be seen along the cul-de-sac part of this road (access onto the adjacent Warwick Avenue having been removed many years ago).

Looking the other way, and a couple more installations can be glimpsed.

Only the fitting of a Royce Thompson SC1000 photocell; the type used initially after the PFI had commenced, to this lantern, shows the passage of time.
