The following photographs were taken on Saturday, 11th June 2011.

All three of the outgoing columns were fitted with Thorn Gamma 6 lanterns; this first example was probably the newest. Ironically, it was also the lantern to have lost most of the paint from its canopy!

Looking at this lantern the other way, the shadow of an elliptical lamp could be seen within the lantern.

The other two lanterns were older, and sported deeper canopies.

These columns carried the post-1997 'DY' prefix numbering system; they were perhaps originally maintained by Derby City Council's Parks Department, but were then later handed over to the Street Lighting department instead.
