The following photographs were taken on Sunday, 11th March 2012.
As mentioned above, only one column was due for removal on this road - a Revo 'Moseley' supporting a Phosco P109. The P109's bowl had lost much of its transparency over time.
Owing to the difficulty of excavating around the column base, the replacement unit would be placed in the hole from which this column was removed.
Even in 2012, many of the columns were operated by mechanical time switches. This column was rewired in 2003 by the one and only Mr Jeremy Skertchly - if only every column base could be as organised as this..!
