1 | 98271 | O/S NO 1 | SXPL2 | 35 | |

The following photographs were taken on Sunday, 24th October 2010; the three outgoing columns along the road were fitted with Thorn Gamma 6 post-top lanterns; all dating from the 1980s.
The shadow of the internal support rods in the first Gamma 6 were visible due to the position of the sun at the time of photographing.
Despite it not being operational at the time, the new lantern's reflector and bowl were also dealing with the sunlight in their own way!
The same installations are pictured again, but from a different angle this time. The paint applied to the Gamma 6's canopy has faded over time, whereas it has almost gone completely from the visible part of the base.
The new lantern had probably only been fitted a few days when this picture was taken, and yet, nature had already made a mark upon its canopy.
This Gamma 6 was fitted with a PFI-specification Royce Thompson SC1000 photocell.
