Unless otherwise stated, all photographs were taken on Saturday, 11th June 2011.

An 8 m tubular steel column supporting a remotely-geared Philips MA 90 90 Watt SOX lantern was first from Mansfield Road.

The replacement column here was also 8 m in height, but hadn't been fitted with a lantern at the time of photographing.

A couple of Stewart & Lloyd 6 m tubular steel columns supporting GEC Z9538 55 Watt SOX lanterns were next.

The Z9538s looked somewhat the worst for wear from being installed under trees.

A significant amount of debris had gathered in this lantern's bowl.

An identical column followed, except that a 1980s' Thorn Beta 2 was fitted here. (The picture is blurry as I was in a rush to photograph the installation before a large lorry came and parked in the way of the column!)

The Beta 2 was not fitted with a photocell - it must have been group-switched from one of the other columns.

Another Beta 2 followed for the next installation.

This lantern had its own photocell; in this case, the type fitted was a Zodion SS3DR, from the mid-2000s.

Another Z9538 then took up lighting duties at the next column.

Then came another Beta 2!

There appeared to be a small amount of crazing or cracking present at the front of this lantern's bowl.

Keeping with the strange pattern, the road's final Z9538 came into view. This column also wins the award for supporting the world's most confusing "No Through Road" signage!

As with the Beta 2 seen earlier, this Z9538 did not have a photocell fitted.

Just to add a little variety to the mixture, the final two outgoing columns supported top-entry Thorn Beta 5 35 Watt SOX lanterns.

I was a little surprised to see that a new column had been erected at the end of the road, as this short section seemed to only lead to a private dwelling, and I would question its adoptive status.

Nevertheless, the lighting would help negotiate vehicles around the narrow bend (made all the more narrower thanks to the presence of the columns!) after nightfall.

By Sunday, 26th June, lanterns had been fitted to the new columns and the outgoing columns had largely been removed.

For the first time in the PFI's history (that I am aware), the canopies of the Iridiums were finished in the same blue that the columns were finished in; making a pleasant change from the usual white-canopied Iridiums.

The four small holes that surround the lantern's optic are used for securing anti-glare louvres to the Iridium lanterns, when required.

The other two new 6 m columns at the end of the road had been swapped for 5 m columns that were painted black. Metcraft 'Victoria' post-top lanterns were fitted to these columns.

The final column position, on the driveway leading to the end house, had been retained.
