The equipment being removed consisted of the following items in 1997:

The following photographs were taken on Friday, 24th December 2010.
A 5 m column supporting a top-entry Thorn Beta 5 was first from Sinfin Avenue. This was the only example of this style of lantern on the road; the rest of the lighting consisted of side-entry lanterns.
The outer bulb of the lamp in this lantern was in the early stages of blackening at the time. Water had leaked into the lantern, and had subsequently frozen at the lowest section of the bowl.
