Local Kingfisher Kaoses
Sold by Kingfisher Lighting in the United Kingdom, AEC's Kaos 1 lantern can be seen in very small numbers on Derbyshire's streets, although the lantern is often used to provide illumination on private roads and car parks throughout the County.
This example is attached to a 6 m column in South Normanton.
The lantern runs a 70 Watt SON-T lamp.
An identical example exists further along the same road.
As with many modern lanterns, a hinged plate allows the lantern to be installed side-entry or post-top.
This example (and the one visible behind it) is attached to an 8 m column.
A 100 Watt SON-T lamp is employed here. Notice the slightly different style of reflector fitted here.
This identical (right down to the presence of a hanging basket!) installation is to be found on the adjacent Market Street.
These lanterns employ a flat glass cover for the lamp.
