Monostar 1000
From July 2002. From April 2007. From August 2005. In my many years of collecting, I have never encountered a photocell that has failed quite so spectacularly as this one has! Such was the fault that a small hole has been burnt into the plastic; indeed, the photocell has a strong smell of roasted electronics, although there are no components at this side of the PCB, and so the fault may have been caused by a bad connection on a solder joint. Needless to say, the Philips XGS 103 from which this cell was removed was dayburning! Click here for a photograph taken of the cell when fitted to the lantern. |
