Rotaflash
The Rotaflash unit is not a photocell - it was Royce Thompson's answer to making Belisha Beacons flash at regular intervals. Instead of the Auto/Test switch employed on their two-part units, an Auto/Sync switch is fitted. When the switch is put into the 'Sync' position, the flashing process is temporarily halted - this allows engineers to synchronise the flashing sequence of one beacon with another across the road.
