Derby's Street Lighting PFI Contract
Bowland Close, Mickleover
The columns being removed on this road were:
Seq. No. | Lamp Number | Location | Lamp Type | Watt | Isolation Point |
1 | 90569 | OPP NO 4 | SXPL3 | 35 | |
2 | 90570 | OS NO 7 | SXPL3 | 35 |
The following photographs were taken on the 4th April 2010 - Easter Sunday. Both outgoing columns supported GEC Z5698U lanterns. The first is recorded as receiving a new photocell (the present Royce Thompson Monostar 1000) and lamp on the 12th April 2005, followed by another new lamp on the 12th January 2006.
Notice the sprayed-on arrow and 'SL' abbreviation on the carriageway. These markings enable the installation teams to correctly locate columns as per the original design. The lantern received a new lamp on both the 15th June 2004, as well as the 17th August that year, when the photocell was also changed to a Monostar 1000. A night patrol in 2009 found the lamp to be burning red, leading to its replacement on the 3rd June.
The footpath here leads to Springdale Court.
