Local Urbis Regents

Several Regent lanterns were installed in the historical Derbyshire village of Eyam as part of a nearby new housing development that was constructed in the mid-2000s. Further examples were installed around The Crescent in Buxton as LED replacements for Phosco P109s.

Two of the Eyam Regents are seen in the picture below.

The miniature photocell can be seen attached to the lantern's canopy.

The lanterns include an internal polycarbonate prismatic refractor bowl, in order to diffuse the output from the (SON) lamps. A single green flag from a bunting string can be seen attached to this lantern's canopy.

The lanterns are attached to plain 5 m tubular steel columns painted black.

This is one of the LED Regents to be found near Buxton Crescent. This particular column was a replacement in the late 2010s, following the previous one being destroyed by a vehicle. Fortunately, a local casting company still retained a pattern used when an additional column to this design was required for a scheme in the early 2000s, allowing a new casting to be produced that then matched the other columns. Images of the installation with the previous column, and fitted with a P109, are viewable here.

The central LED array replaces the previous lamp and optic-based lighting system.
