12JEA. Ewen Crescent, Brixton, London Borough of Lambeth With thanks to Dwight for informing me of this Survivor. Located near to the point of Ewen Crescent where it becomes Atwater Close is a 15 ft (5 m) GEC concrete column supporting a top-entry Phosware (CU Phosco) P152 lantern, for 45 - 60 Watt SO/H / SOI/H lamps originally, but now running a 35 Watt SOX lamp instead. Oddly, this is the only column on the road to have avoided being sleeved, and retains its original bracket, though two of the sleeved columns do not support any lanterns at all; this having been the case since 2019 (at least).

The column is situated alongside Kelyway House flats.

Unusually for a P152, the bowl is both undamaged and not discoloured. This allows the blackened SOX lamp to be seen within the lantern.

A steel door bearing the GEC logo and (presumably) an old maintenance number of 3452 exists instead of the more common aluminium type.

Viewing the installation from the other side reveals something slightly quirky about the lantern.

The modern maintenance number label is applied to this side of the lantern bowl, but because it was intended for applying to a column shaft, the characters are on the wrong plane when displayed in this way. Although the concrete surface would make applying the label to this column's shaft impractical, I am surprised that it wasn't affixed to the door instead.
