209D. St Mary's Church, Long Sutton, Spalding, Lincolnshire Installed within the churchyard is an ornate cast iron column supporting an ESLA swan neck and ELECO 'Baldock' (or Crompton 'Sirius') lantern. With there being no provision for discharge lamp control gear accommodation anywhere on the structure, the lantern is likely to run an incandescent, compact fluorescent or LED lamp, and as with other churchyard installations pictured elsewhere, is probably switched manually as and when required for the benefit of night-time congregations.

The column is relatively short, with the swan neck bracket adding to the overall height.

The cover must be missing from the bracket's integral fuse box, as insulation tape is wrapped around it.

The front 'curl' to the swan neck's finial is broken, and the wing nut used in securing the lantern's bowl retaining ring is missing, with a length of string wrapped around the finial providing a makeshift solution to holding the bowl in place.

The bowl itself is of the same type seen with my Wardle Avon.

One final image, looking the other direction.
