2AC. Church Street, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire With thanks to Dwight for informing me of this Survivor. Attached to a length of tubular steel pipe (possibly, even a length of scaffolding pole) is an AC Ford swan neck bracket supporting a GEC Z9481 35 Watt SOX lantern. A 1950s' or 1960s' installation, the unusual choice for the 'column' could be the result of Church Street not being considered an important enough thoroughfare to warrant the expenditure of a more elaborate column at the time.
The pole shows signs of rusting for much of its length, though the bracket is in better condition.
The detector for a part-night miniature photocell is visible towards the rear of the lantern's canopy. As a gear tray / reflector is visible within the lantern, this is actually a Z9491.
A couple of ladder bars are bolted together around the pole.
A narrow fuse box links the swan neck bracket to its spigot cap.
