4GB. Eaton Court, West End, Little Chester, Derby City Centre Situated adjacent the communal parking area for Eaton Court flats is a 15 ft (5 m) Revo 'Moseley' cast iron column supporting a CU Phosco P111 post-top lantern running a 35 Watt SOX (low pressure sodium) lamp. The column will have been installed here second-hand; its installation likely to be concurrent with the construction of the surrounding buildings, although the lantern may have been new at the time. The installation has escaped any sort of modernisation, as although it is maintained as part of the Street Lighting PFI in Derby, its ownership falls under that of Derby Homes, the City Council's housing provider.

The P111 is supplemented by Philips MI 36 (55 Watt SOX) lanterns attached to the buildings (not visible here).

Unlike my own P111, the lamp has no refractor ring surrounding (part of) it.

The column base wiring is unchanged from when it was wired up originally. The control gear components all have the date of 11 / 90 handwritten on them, while the Fisher-Karpark SS55 two-part photocell is likely to be from then too.
