97BA. Shaw Lane, Lichfield, Staffordshire With thanks to Dwight for informing me of this Survivor. Installed in a small car parking area for the adjacent Beacon Park is a 1980s' 8 m tubular steel column supporting a GEC Z8526 lantern running a 250 Watt SON-T (tubular high pressure sodium) lamp.
The column and bracket are British Steel products.
The lantern appears to have been subjected to a small amount of vandalism, with airgun pellet holes being visible in the bowl, and a dent from the same existing on the canopy.
This version of the Z8526 bowl features refractor prisms moulded into the section that is situated below the lamp. Earlier versions featured a white painted diffusion spot in this area instead.
