The following photographs were taken on Monday, 28th September 2015.
A GEC Z9538 55 Watt SOX lantern was fitted to the first column from Uttoxeter New Road.
Although fitted with a NEMA socket, this hadn't been fitted with a photocell. Given that the above inventory records indicate that the following column is a control point, the photocell fitted to the other lantern probably also switches this installation.
The installation at the top of the road was dayburning at the time of photographing.
A Zodion SS3DR photocell is fitted - this may not necessarily have failed; as I recall, these photocells have a habit of bypassing their switching function if there is a momentary interruption in the electricity supply, causing their load to operate constantly. Unfortunately, the only way to 'reset' the cell in this state is to cut its supply for around a minute.
