The following photographs were taken on Sunday, 24th October 2010:

Thorn Beta 5 lanterns from the early 1980s made up the majority of the outgoing lanterns along this road.

This view allows the height of the old columns to be compared to that of the new columns:

At the time of writing, the ground around the new and old columns had been excavated, in readiness for the service transfer from the old column to the new.

The replacement column here was situated opposite the outgoing equivalent; presumably due to the presence of the large tree adjacent the latter.

This Beta 5 lined up perfectly with the new column:

The SOX lantern looked to have been relamped in 2008.

A trench for the supply cable to the new column could be seen in the excavation.

A Thorn Gamma 6 was fitted in the 'east' cul-de-sac. Interestingly, the Gamma 6 was attached to a mid-hinged column. Given that the above records describe this column as being on a footpath, I believe that a link to Santolina Drive was originally proposed when this road layout was being planned, but the footpath was either never constructed or was later closed, and the use of a hinged column at this location would support this theory.

The Cosmo-White lamp is visible in the new Iridium's optic.

This Beta 5 was fitted with a Zodion SS3DR photocell, dating from the early-mid 2000s.

A position adjacent the turning circle on the 'west' cul-de-sac was selected for one of the new columns. Houghton Court is visible in the background of this photograph.
