The replacement scheme saw no increase in the number of columns installed in this small cul-de-sac, although the new column was positioned in a more central position than the outgoing column was.

Cable offcuts are visible in the bowl of the new Iridium lantern:

The outgoing Thorn Beta 5 was of the mid-late 1980s type.
