Derby's Street Lighting PFI Contract
Sudbury Close, City Centre
The existing lighting consisted of the following items in 1997.
Seq. No. | Lamp Number | Location | Lamp Type | Watt | Isolation Point |
1 | 108419 | 1ST FR SUDBURY ST | SXPL1 | 55 | |
2 | 108420 | IN HAMMERHEAD | SXPL1 | 55 |
The following photographs were taken on Saturday, 30th October 2010.
The two outgoing hockey stick columns both supported Philips MI 36 lanterns.
The MI 36s were fitted with Zodion SS55 two-part photocell detectors. This suggests that the lanterns were remotely-geared.
This photograph proves that the columns are not actually hockey sticks - they just feature hockey stick-shaped brackets!
The GRP canopies of the MI 36s have clearly seen better days! These installations probably date from the early 1990s.
The PFI saw another column installed; this is located opposite the previous installation.
