Local Thorn Civiteq Large Lanterns

The large version of the Civiteq lantern made its Derbyshire début in mid-2018, with lanterns being retro-fitted to existing columns on the A6 between Duffield and Belper. By then, the Civiteq Small had been in use for some months in parts of the County.

The majority of the columns on this road are sleeved Stanton 8 concretes; the sleeving increasing their overall height from 8 m to 10 m. Originally, 90 Watt SOX lanterns were fitted, followed by 135 Watt SOX after sleeving.

The Civiteq Large features an elongated canopy, in order to accommodate a second LED cluster.

The two panels each contain 36 LEDs, bringing the total in every lantern to 72 LEDs.

This version of the Civiteq appears more 'in proportion' when installed atop a 10 m column than its little brother does.

A Zodion ZCell photocell rated at 20 Lux switches the lantern on and off, as necessary.

The label on the rear section of the lantern indicates a total wattage of 98 Watt, with output light levels designed to meet an 'M2' lighting class.
