This lamp is perhaps one of the last to bear the Mazda name as 'GE-Thorn' is mentioned a couple of times on the rear of the packaging; this was the name of the holding company that was formed in 1990, in order to provide a transition between the outgoing lamps division of Thorn Lighting, and the incoming GE Lighting.
