16 Watt

Domestic Thorn EMI 16 Watt 2D
(Enfield, UK)

Coloured 2D
tube (Enfield,
UK) - this gives out a lemon colour when in use but I also have green,
peach, red and blue.
Thanks to a
Coughtrie CPS 16 fitting being acquired, I could try all of
these
tubes out to see how effective the different colours were:
Lemon

This
tube is much like a
regular 'white' tube - there is a slight increase in yellow however.
Green

The green was very vivid
but still offered a slight amount of colour rendering.
Peach

Another colour not far from
white - although this had more of a pink tinge to it.
Red

The
tube actually glowed
more of a deep pink colour than red but it wasn't far off.
Blue

The blue was very sharp -
it reminded me of neon
tubes in many ways.
