109J. Beckstones, Hawes, North Yorkshire With thanks to Dwight for informing me of these Survivors. Attached to properties that border the Gayle Beck watercourse are two wall-mounted lanterns that, typically, ran 80 - 125 Watt MBF (mercury vapour) lamps, and these examples may be no different. The first is a CU Phosco P236; the second is an ELECO HW-11600 - the integral lamp control gear version of the HW-922.

Owing to these properties being set back further from the road than they are further along the road, the P236 is mounted to a bracket with a long outreach.

As with the ELECO lantern, the lamp control gear is housed within the P236.

Both bracket fuse boxes contain Venner branding on their front panels, suggesting that, when new, and probably fitted with different lanterns, time switches made by that company were housed within the boxes.

The properties where the HW-11600 is situated are far closer to the road, and so the bracket outreach is much shorter.

The lantern has been converted to NEMA socket control, with the photocell here being a Royce Thompson Oasis 2000.

A slightly sooty mark exists on the lantern's glass bowl - this should wipe off relatively easily.
