111GC. Off Sorrel, Amington, Tamworth, Staffordshire With thanks to AgentHalogen_87 for informing me of this Survivor. Located on some waste ground at the end of the right-hand branch of this cul-de-sac is a 5 m tubular steel column supporting a CU Phosco P107 post-top lantern, probably running a 35 Watt SOX (low pressure sodium) lamp. The reason for this column's existence is unclear - it is situated short a distance away from the adjacent communal parking area, and no other examples seem to exist nearby. Perhaps, there used to be a link footpath to Mercian Way; or at least, one was planned but never completed. Given how overgrown the surrounding area is, I doubt that the lantern is operational at night.
The column is seen from the parking area, through a convenient gap in the foliage.
This version features a short overhang on its canopy, and a translucent polycarbonate bowl. A Zodion photocell is positioned in the centre of the canopy.
