194AC. Cromwell Road, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire With thanks to Dwight for informing me of this Survivor. Installed at the end of Cromwell Road, within a distribution yard for Cadent Gas, is a 25 ft (8 m) Stanton 8 concrete column with 'F'-type bracket and broken GEC Z8430CM lantern - the installation's isolated position probably making it a target for vandals in the past. A second installation (not pictured here) within the compound has fared better, owing to it being in a less accessible location.

The concrete is spalling heavily along the bracket, with both ends of the internal pipe being exposed through concrete loss.

The remains of a lamp cap are still present within the holder, with asbestos-sheathed cable connecting the holder to the terminal block.

The lantern's internal aluminium reflector panels are corroded from the years of abandonment.
