202L. The Street, Holywell Road, Bury St. Edmund's, Suffolk Attached to a long wooden pole bracket is a CU Phosco (Phosware) P152 lantern, designed for 45 - 60 Watt SO/H and SOI/H lamps, but fitted with a 35 Watt SOX lamp in the modern era. The pole bracket installation appears to have become redundant by 2009, with a 5 m Abacus base-hinged tubular steel column having been installed a little further forward of this light, and serving as a direct replacement for the lighting position. At least two other P152s were still in nightly service along this road (or rather, two other P152 street lights were still in nightly use along the street known as The Street) in April 2023, however; these are not pictured here.

The pole bracket was (presumably) replaced with the base-hinged lighting column owing to its proximity to overhead, non-insulated, electricity conductors. The setback from the road (owing to the position of the pole) is considerable.

No supply cabling remains installed into the bracket.

The photocell looks to be a 1980s' Royce Thompson P5 unit.
