2ABE. Upper Long Leys Road, Whitton Park, Ermine West, Lincoln With thanks to Dwight for informing me of these Survivors. Much as with the installation seen on Dixon Close, the section of this road that is known as Willis Terrace is home to two 15 ft (5 m) Stanton 10 concrete columns, complete with A-type swan neck brackets and CU Phosco P283 lanterns for 35 - 55 Watt SOX (low pressure sodium) lamps. A third, identical, example was still extant in May 2011, but by October the following year, this column had been replaced entirely; possibly, due to a defective bracket.

The shorter columns on this portion of the road are possibly an indication of how the entirety of Upper Long Leys Road was lit in the past; however, in the modern era, most of the columns are now 8 m in height, with only a few 5 / 6 m columns installed in the middle.

The rear portion of the P283's bowl is painted black, in an attempt to reduce back spill to adjacent properties. A 55 Watt lamp appears to be fitted here.

The second column is positioned at the start of a steep gradient that leads down to Yarborough Road.

The top of the column is showing signs of spalling, and has been wrapped in insulation tape in an attempt to hold the concrete together.

This lantern's bowl has also required assistance from insulation tape to hold it in place. The detector for a Royce Thompson P42E two-part photocell is visible on the canopy.
