193b. Aviation Park, off the B5129, Saltney Ferry, Chester Located at the entrance to the Aviation Park is an abandoned Concrete Utilities' Avenue 2D column and Arc 4 bracket supporting the remains of a top-entry AEI Amber Minor / Thorn Beta 5 lantern. This appears to be the last of an older lighting scheme to provide illumination along the roadway after nightfall; the original columns falling into disuse when new Thorn QC8 aluminium columns and Philips SGS 203 lanterns were installed, but remaining extant until some point after 2009, when they were removed. Somehow, this column managed to avoid removal, and so, remains in its derelict state.

The lantern's bowl and lamp are missing, but the control gear may remain on the other side of the heavily-rusted gear tray / reflector.
