This example, however, has a 1970s' GEC Z9531 fitted - this being the top-entry, separate gear version of the Z9532.

The column is only a short distance down Forge Lane.

The use of the smaller Z9531 changes the installation's overall appearance quite considerably.

A section of the thread on the top-entry coupler is exposed between the bracket and the lantern's canopy.

A crack has formed in the back of the bracket, signifying the beginning of the end for this column.
