79. Stamford Rd, Rutland. On the circumference road surrounding the famous Rutland Water nature reserve is an AC Ford AC850 lantern mounted on a pole bracket. I could not tell whether it ran a mercury or a SON lamp; but the latter is more likely. The lantern is switched by a Royce Thompson photocell mounted on the pole - though time switch operation may have been used in the past. Attached to the bracket is a small Revo box designed for a fuse carrier - this might be empty nowadays as a newer AC Ford box is positioned nearby.

By 2016, the pole, bracket and lantern had been renewed - a Philips XGS 104 55 Watt SOX lantern was used as the replacement lantern.
