The following photographs were taken on Sunday, 24th October 2010:
A somewhat misaligned column was first from Binscombe Lane; this supported a GEC Z9532.
The Z9532's canopy was rather weathered from its approximate thirty years' servivce outdoors.
The second outgoing column remained vertical, however. Both the new and old columns appear to be installed in a lawn...this is because they are - the 'fashion' at the time that this road was built was to do away with highlighting the rear of the highway boundary with a footpath, and instead, bring the gardens right up to the carriageway edge, even though the first metre or so is technically still within the highway boundary.
A PFI-specification Royce Thompson SC1000 photocell was fitted to this Z9532.
A GEC Z5698U was installed on a narrow branch cul-de-sac. What is possibly the photocell connection plug is visible inside the lantern.
