The following photographs were taken on the 4th April 2010 - Easter Sunday. The outgoing roadway columns all supported GEC Z9532 lanterns. The outgoing columns had all been removed by Friday, 23rd April 2010.

Owing to Pendlebury Drive being situated on a hill, and the road being particularly bendy at this location, a grit bin is a necessity:

One of the new columns is situated adjacent this conifer hedge; from this angle, the top section of the column appears to be engulfed by the foliage...

Moving across the road reveals that one of the outgoing columns is also positioned here, albeit slightly further into the hedge. This view shows that pruning work has been undertaken around the columns. Prior to this, the Z9532 was only just visible through the vegetation!

The next location is a lot less restrictive for light output.

As the summit is reached, the sharpness of the bends in the road becomes apparent:

The road straightens out at this point, meaning that the replacement columns were located adjacent the outgoing columns:

The footpath at the end of the road featured a column that supported a Thorn Gamma 6 - a GEC Z5698U would have been installed here originally.
