The columns being removed on this road were:
Seq. No. | Lamp Number | Location | Lamp Type | Watt | Isolation Point |
1 | 90635 | OPP NO 3 | SXPL3 | 35 | |
2 | 90636 | OS NO 5 | SXPL1 | 35 | |
3 | 90637 | OS NO 9 | SXPL3 | 35 | |
4 | 90638 | FP OS NO 16 | SXPL3 | 35 |
The following photographs were taken on the 4th April 2010 - Easter Sunday. The outgoing lighting here consisted of three GEC Z5698U lanterns, and one WRTL Arc - a replacement for a Z5698U at some point in the mid-2000s.
By pure accident, I managed to take this photograph from such an angle that almost perfectly aligned the outgoing and new columns:
The Arc was fitted with a 100 Watt SON-T lamp...yes, you read that correctly; a lantern designed for use at an 8 m mounting height was indeed fitted to a 5 m column!
A Z5698U remained on the footpath leading to Pendlebury Drive, however.
