Derby's Street Lighting PFI Contract
The Close, Littleover
The lighting along this road consisted of 6 m tubular steel columns supporting 1980s' Thorn Beta 2 55 Watt SOX lanterns; no lantern or column changes had occurred since the below inventory records were last used officially, in 1997.

The following photographs were taken on Monday, 28th September 2015.
A deep-bowled Thorn Beta 5 lantern was first from Arlington Road.
An early 1990s' Zodion SS5 photocell (possibly the lantern's original photocell) is fitted.
The following example had a shallow bowl and SS3DR photocell fitted.
