Local Urbis ZXU1s
Similar to its older sibling, the ZX1, the ZXU1 is not at all common in Derbyshire; in fact, only one example is known in public ownership. This is detailed below.
The ZXU1 can be found attached to a recently-repainted (early 2016) cast iron column on Wellington Court in Belper. Prior to the column being repainted, a top-entry GEC Z9531 was fitted. As part of the refurbishment, a new AC Ford swan neck bracket was fitted; the ZXU1 being installed at the same time.
A SELC / Westire AcRo 35 Lux photocell controls the lantern's operation. Given the low mounting height, the lantern is likely to run a 50 Watt SON-T lamp.
