126. Lady Wood Road, Kirk Hallam, Ilkeston In the grounds of the 'Cat & Fiddle' public house are two 5 m columns - one supports a Thorn Gamma 6; the other a GEC Z8454 fluorescent lantern. I do not think either of the lanterns are in use these days as floodlights have been installed on the building and in the adjacent car park. It is possible that two Z8454s originally graced the entrance to the pub and that the Gamma 6 was installed when one failed.

Sadly, when I passed by this area in December 2023, both the Z8454 and Gamma 6 had been replaced with LED floodlights.
