113DFC. Syers Green Lane, Long Buckby, Northamptonshire. With thanks to Dwight for informing me of this Survivor. Attached to a wooden pole that supports the overhead electricity conductors for surrounding properties is an AC Ford bracket fitted with an ELECO 'Welwyn' top-entry lantern. Even in December 2023, this 1960s' lantern continues to run an 80 Watt MBF (mercury vapour) lamp.

The lighting is positioned sporadically along the lane, with this being the first light to be seen from West Street.

Although the pole bracket features an integrated (miniature) fuse box, a newer and larger GRP box (also made by AC Ford) is likely to provide housing for the fused cut-out now. Notice that a SELC 841 20 mm threaded photocell is installed on the side of the box, to switch the lantern as necessary.

The older steel box to the left will house the lamp control gear.

Although the OSRAM lamp frank has become faint, the print remains sufficiently legible to reveal that it was made at the company's Foshan (China) facility in August 2008 (date code: f888).

The pole also contains three fuses in weatherproof enclosures that protect the outgoing house service cable that burrows underground.

Traces of silver paint remain on the bracket and lantern.

A slight amount of damage exists on this side of the lantern's prismatic glass refractor ring, but otherwise, the lantern remains in good condition.
