113DFD. Parkfield Road, Long Buckby, Northamptonshire. With thanks to Dwight for informing me of this Survivor. Located at the junction of the B5385 West Street is a 1980s' Fabrikat 5 m hockey stick column supporting a Davis SR-918 lantern - the continuation of the ELECO HW-918. I assume that the lantern runs an 80 Watt MBF (mercury vapour) lamp, going on the other Survivors seen around Long Buckby, although by the time that Davis had taken over production of the former ELECO range, 70 - 120 Watt SON-E (elliptical high pressure sodium) lamp options were available too, with this version being the GR-918 instead.

The column is unpainted; its galvanised finish helping to protect it from corrosion throughout the thirty-odd years that it must have witnessed on the street when pictured in December 2023.

This version features a Perspex bowl, although Davis still offered glass bowls at the time - the lantern resorting to the old ELECO name of HW-922 for this option.

Dirt has slid down the inside of the bowl from the position of the clip to its lowest point, creating a visible mark on the plastic surface.
