113H. Home Close, Dingley, Northamptonshire Situated on this cul-de-sac are three 5 m columns, with two of these being tubular aluminium, and produced by CU Phosco; the third being a British Steel product. The two aluminium columns support P107 lanterns, also made by CU Phosco, whilst the British Steel one supports a GEC Z5670. The difference in products could be because this column is at the end of the cul-de-sac, which may have been a slightly later extension to the original cul-de-sac. Whatever the case, all three lanterns each looked to be running a 35 Watt SOX (low pressure sodium) lamp when pictured in June 2024.
The first column is to be found near the junction of Braybrooke Road.
All three lanterns are switched using inline Royce Thompson P9 photocells installed between them and the column.
The lantern is positioned incorrectly, according the 'Across road' indicator on the base casting. Although a glass refractor prism is employed, and its effectiveness is dictated by the lantern being aligned correctly, with so much of the SOX lamp protruding below the refractor anyway, the misalignment will have a minimal effect here.
The second column was much the same as first was, but the third appeared marginally shorter.
The lantern's GRP canopy looked distinctly weathered.
