12A. Off Bath Road, Vicarage Farm, Cranford, London Borough of Hounslow Situated on this lengthy footpath between Bath Road and Brabazon Road are a number of Stainton 5 m mid-hinged sheet steel columns supporting a variety of post-top lanterns, with the oldest of these likely to be some 1990s' Thorn Gamma 6s. One of these was operating during the day when pictured in August 2024, revealing that it ran a tubular high pressure sodium (SON-T) lamp, probably of 70 Watts.

The dayburning example was to be found some distance along the footpath. Other lanterns used on here were the WRTL 2015 (one is visible on the next column along), Pathfinder, Philips 'Streetfighter' SGS 101 and Urbis Altra.

The camera struggled to focus on the lantern, owing to the 50 Hz flicker emitted by the lamp; hence, the slightly blurry image here. A faulty Zodion SS4 photocell, which may be original to when the lantern was installed, is the reason for the lantern's permanent operation. A slight crack is visible on the lantern's acrylic bowl.
