2AAC. Prince George Street, Skegness, Lincolnshire With thanks to Dwight for informing me of this Survivor. Fitted to a wall bracket to the rear of the 'Poundland' store (formerly, the building was home to a branch of Marks & Spencer, and the installation will date from then too) is a CU Phosco P236 lantern, designed for low wattage mercury vapour (MBF) and high pressure sodium (SON) lamps. Judging by how discoloured (and fragile) the lantern's bowl has become, the former option is likely to be the lamp type employed in this particular example.

Such is the diminutive nature of the lantern, it is easy to overlook unless you know that it is there.

A 1970s' Fisher-Karpark SS4 photocell is fitted to the P236.

An elliptical lamp is visible inside the lantern, owing to the UV-damaged bowl.

There are no other witness marks on the wall that would suggest a second wall bracket ever existed here.

The lamp control gear is housed in the rear section of the lantern. Alternatively, the gear could be housed remotely, with the resultant shorter lantern then being known as the P235 instead.

The supply cable to the lantern is of the Mineral-Insulated Copper Clad (MICC) type, known generically as "Pyro".
