2AAD. Croft Marsh Lane, Croft, Skegness, Lincolnshire Located within the level crossing for the adjacent Havenhouse Railway Station (Lincolnshire's least-used station) is an Abacus 5 m base-hinged tubular steel column supporting a Thorn Beta 7 lantern. This appears to be the sole-surviving installation from an earlier lighting scheme, when the platforms were lit identically, and the level crossing protected by manually-operated gates, as shown here.

The column is located behind a small locked gate, with a wooden shed being the only notable object beyond the gate.

The Beta 7 features an anti-vandal bowl - not that I would think that vandalism is a major issue in this rural backwater!

The column is very rusted throughout its length, while the platform columns, despite being of the same age, have been repainted over the years, leading them to appear newer.

The slightly overkill amount of eight bolts secure the bracket supporting this small, and relatively lightweight lantern, to the column.

One of the two half-width crossing barriers is visible behind the column here.

The ribbed construction of the lantern bowl is evident here. Some versions of sister lantern, the Beta 5, employed a bowl with similar patterning.
