Installed within the car park for the Torbay Golf Centre are two 8 m tubular steel columns, made by British Steel; both of which would have supported Thorn Gamma 3 post-top lanterns originally; however, only one of these now does - the canopy and bowl of the other lantern are missing, and have been since 2009 (at least).

The column supporting the remaining intact lantern is pictured first.

Given the build-up of moss on the bowl, this lantern may not be in operable condition any longer.

Much of the base casting's black paint finish has worn away.

No traces of the missing canopy and/or bowl survive in the vicinity of the column.

Only some broken fragments of the bowl remain "up top".
