The following photographs were taken on the 4th April 2010 - Easter Sunday. The outgoing columns had all been removed by Friday, 23rd April 2010.
The first outgoing column from Stanage Green supported a Philips MI 50 lantern, along with a badly faded 'No through road' signplate.
The second column supported a Thorn Beta 5 - this would have replaced a GEC Z9532 at some point.
A short access road for several properties was lit with a GEC Z5698U lantern. Oddly, the outgoing column here was of the raise-and-lower variety more commonly used on footpaths. While definitely quite narrow, the access road would be able to accommodate a full-sized platform vehicle without a problem, hence the replacement column being of the rigid type.
The outgoing column/lantern here resemble how column 60422 (now supporting the Beta 5) would have originally looked.
Two further Z5698Us are installed after the Z9532; I assume that this is due to the disappearance of the footway after this point. Curiously, the column featured below was one of the very few columns supporting Z5698Us in Mickleover that had noticeable surface rusting on the column shaft - in many cases, the painted surfaces, combined with the (presumably) galvanised surfaces beneath, kept the columns virtually rust-free above ground. Judging by what remains of the finish on this column, I suspect that it was never painted properly, hence why now the rust has managed to make an appearance.
The final Z5698U, at the end of the cul-de-sac, was located adjacent the embankment leading to the busy A38 dual carriageway.
