97FD. Europa Way, Lichfield, Staffordshire Still extant in late August 2023 are a number of 55 Watt SOX (low pressure sodium) lanterns attached to 6 m (20 ft) columns. Although the columns are numbered, their survival could be due to the ownership of the road - if it is a private road (as it forms the Britannia Enterprise Park), replacement may not be as high a priority as it would be on a public road.

Towards the end of the road, a GEC Z9536 was seen. This is attached to a 'Midway-X' column, made by Concrete Utilities.

The lantern is in typical condition for its age, with the GRP canopy having become rough, and the polycarbonate bowl having discoloured slightly.

An identical installation existed further up the road.

This lantern retains an older Royce Thompson P42 two-part photocell detector.

This Philips MI 80 was attached to a Stanton 1806 column - their equivalent of the 'Midway-X'.

As the MI 80 features a Zodion SS55-type two-part photocell detector, the lamp control gear is likely to be mounted remotely, as it is with the Z9536s.
