1967 Tube Stock Farewell Tour Gallery 3
Virtually all of the possible destinations on the blind were set at one point or another! |
The train carried a headboard to mark the tour, and the train’s set number was 767 throughout the entire journey. |
The vintage weighing scales at Uxbridge were made by The British Automatic Company - when this device was made, the concept of placing the words "Automatic" and "Train" together was still several decades away from becoming a reality! |
An attempt to be ‘arty’, using two platform mirrors. Our train is on the left; a Piccadilly line train of 1973 Stock awaits departure on the right, and in the distance, a train of Metropolitan line A60/62 Stock can be seen in the Uxbridge Sidings. |
The doors on this side of the train remained closed throughout our time at Uxbridge. |
The diamond visible beneath the train here is a stop marker. |
Seeing a 1967 Stock car this deserted is most unusual! |
The right-hand kickboard on this set of doors was missing (or never fitted). |
