The following photographs were taken on Sunday, 21st November and Saturday, 27th November 2010. Most of the outgoing lanterns along this road were GEC Z9538s.

The illuminated signposts were also up for renewal at the time - the sign plate warning of road humps had already been transferred to the new post at the time of photographing. The still-operating outgoing Forest City LA428 signlight suggests that the new Simmonsigns LUA was not yet in use, however.

The columns on the longer part of Stockbrook Street were of a different design to those seen earlier were.

A 1980s' Thorn Beta 2 brought a temporary change to the outgoing lantern type.

A Philips MI 8 / CU Phosco P224 followed.

I think the gull may have been a little lost!

Philips MI 36s were also fitted to a couple of columns:

A length of "Denso" tape had been wrapped around the column/bracket joint; presumably in an attempt to protect the metal against corrosion. These Stewart and Lloyd columns were probably over 40 years old by the time that they were removed, so they'd had a good innings.

An 8 m column supporting a WRTL Arc was also due for replacement. The column was fitted with an outdoor power socket, which would have provided a power supply to a portable CCTV camera when required. The replacement column is also 8 m in height (in comparison to the other new columns, which are 6 m in height), so the camera will probably be fitted to this column from time-to-time as well.

The similarities between the new Iridium and Arc are very apparent here:
